StayTuned buys and builds Shopify Apps. A big part of their acquisition strategy when purchasing an app is to improve or develop their marketing infrastructure. A key element of that is the app’s website.
That’s where we came in.
As StayTuned is in the business of acquiring and growing Shopify Apps, they are always in need of external partners who can support them and move quickly, particularly regarding branding and design.

We met up with the client and realized that they needed a partner who could be at their side and act quickly as they expanded their business.
Since then, we've worked with StayTuned across multiple projects in design and development. Here we will focus on the work we did for their company marketing site staytuned.digital.

We knew that this website played an important role to StayTuned's investors, app partners and customers too. We opened all lines of communication with them to get to know what they were expecting from us and the website.
We decided that Candid Leap would design and animate following their style guide, and StayTuned would develop those designs on WordPress (they have a WordPress Developer).

To give the site a unique look & feel, we invested time and resources into making hand sketches, custom illustrations, and animations.
Early on, we wireframed everything to define the ideal User Experience (UX) and to determine what fonts would ring true.
We had creative control to deliver the creative feel of the brand and extend its positioning to a whole new level.
A big part of that process involved developing custom icons following the brand’s shapes and colors.
These resources allowed us to add consistency throughout the entire site.
Before hard animating any Lottie files, we use Figma animations. This step confirms that we are going in the right direction.
The keyframes and visual queue leads to a strong high-fidelity final product, all in less time.
Once we had all designs locked in, it was time to give them movement.
We developed a series of Lottie Animations that added life to an already moving design.
Since we were working on a limited schedule and Candid Leap wasn't in charge of developing the websites, we needed to think about WordPress-ready designs and simple yet effective visual solutions.
Budget, time, and capacity will always determine how we handle a project. Always!
Automated Referral Base
StayTuned needed a system to track effective referrals of their Shopify apps. This would allow them to distribute commissions appropriately without doing everything manually.
We developed a low-code tracker on which every time a customer pays on Shopify, that transaction gets registered and added to Airtable.
Instead of calculating commissions manually, once a month the client receives an automated PDF with the amount each referrer should receive, saving everyone time and effort.
The client has different apps on Shopify, each with different users, and they needed to capture the activity of each app user to target them on specific marketing actions.
We were able to track that activity, integrating it into Airtable, and then into the client's CRM system, allowing them to automate communication responses to different user activities.
The client can now track real-time user activity in Airtable, create different segments in their CRM and boost their retention actions and marketing campaign with automated responses.
Once the contract for the website was finalized, Prive trusted us again to create the pricing, blog, case studies and features pages for the site.
We agreed on moving from fixed-price projects to a retention model, from which we continue to deliver valuable projects with the client.
